Jonagold

Jonagold apples are large to very large in size, with a conical-globular shape and smooth surface. The yellow-green skins boast a striking crimson blush covering 30 percent of the fruit’s surface. The pulp is fine, crispy, yellow or cream-yellow, and juicy. Their tangy sweet taste with honey-like notes and fluffily crisp fruit have made Jonagold a popular choice among consumers. Jonagolds are resistant to handling and transport and can be stored for 160-210 days. Moldova produces more than 14,000 tons of Jonagold each year.
