President plums are notable for their very large size and late ripening. Presidents have an ellipsoid shape, dark purple skins covered with a significant bloom, and yellowish pulp. Moldovan Presidents are sweet, crisp, and tangy — perfect for fresh consumption — and are well-suited to handling and transportation. Moldova produces 8,000 tons of President annually.
